‘Hope For Children’ CRC Policy Center (HFC) and the Association for the Prevention and Handling of the Violence in the Family (SPAVO) will organize a press conference at the ‘Classic’ hotel from 10: 00-12: 00 regarding the establishment of the Cyprus Mediation Service for cases of cross-border family conflicts.

The Mediation Service was established under the European Program 116000 – Cyprus Mediation Service. The program co-ordinated by SPAVO forms part of the 116000 European Line for Missing Children, which operates under the SPAVO – HFC consortium and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, completely free of charge.

Mediation Service is an out-of-court procedure for resolving conflicts in cases of separation, divorce and / or disagreements in communication. Mediation Service is used to interfere mainly with the Hague Convention cases and prevent couples conflicts. It is a guiding process of dialogue in order to find solutions to which the two parents will agree with a view to the child’s well-being. Mediation Service can save time and financial resources from the State.
